Our most popular plan is a PPO and we should really explain exactly what a PPO is. A PPO (short for Preferred Provider Organization) is a managed healthcare system very popular throughout our country. Similar to an HMO or Health Maintenance Organization, PPOs provide a high degree of medical care, along with a diverse choice of medical doctors and hospitals (called "providers"). In fact, a PPO is actually a large collection of hospitals, doctors, laboratories, etc that band together (the PPO), to provide your medical care at a significantly lower rate to the PPO members. By giving large discounts to the PPO members through a Texas health insurance carrier, the insurance carriers are able to persuade us to join them by offering significant financial incentives. These incentives generally include significant discounts for medical care performed by in-network doctors and hospitals lower co pays and deductibles.
PPO members normally pay for medical services when rendered and are reimbursed a certain percentage of the expense as outlined in their Texas health insurance policy by the provider at a later time. The exact percentage of reimbursement depends on the health insurance policy, a previously contracted rate, and whether the provider is within the PPO directory. PPO members may see any provider they wish, and are never required to choose a primary care physician (referred to as a PCP), and do not require pre-authorization from that primary care physician before the member seeks medical treatment for any health issue. PPO members must choose doctors within the PPO system in order to receive the higher level of reimbursement and lower co pays. Medical care costs are expensive and becoming more expensive each day. Who will pay your medical bills if you have an accident or a major medical issue? You purchase Texas health insurance for the reason you purchase other kinds of insurance - to protect you and your family from serious financial loss. With Texas health insurance, you can sleep at night knowing you and your family will be protected.
With a solid Abilene health insurance plan in place, many of your medical expenses will be covered by the insurance carrier. Abilene Health insurance can give you the peace of mind that when you need medical care, you can receive the treatment you need without the threat of a financial burden. A solid Abilene health insurance policy can also let you choose any doctor or hospital you like if the need should arise. Without Health Insurance coverage, you're left to only doctors and hospitals that will treat you on a "cash only" basis and your quality of care could suffer tremendously.
We can design an Abilene health insurance policy any way you like. Options include creating an Austin health insurance plan with or without doctor or prescription co pays, optional preventive care, any deductible level that fits your needs and some health insurance plans that cover just for the catastrophic issues. Rather than try to decipher this yourself, just call us and we'll design a health insurance plan that fits your needs exactly. We offer traditional co pay plans, Texas Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and also critical illness and accident plans to complement a higher deductible health insurance option.
